ESTABLISHED 2020 • north YORKSHIRE

The Haggs Wood Initiative

Promoting the enjoyment, diversity and conservation of our small UK woodland, located 3 miles north of Wetherby.

STORY
IMG_5214.HEIC

Funded by the Woodland Trust and planted by volunteers, the Haggs Wood was established in 2020 and continues to be supported by Friends of the Hagg.

We run woodland craft courses, host Forest School activities for adults and organise volunteer days to promote well being in a natural environment.

We also provide a permissive rest stop for walkers and riders enjoying the public bridleway and footpath that adjoins the Haggs Wood.  From this spot you can view the whole of the Haggs Wood while watching the red kites, buzzards and butterflies in season.
